Accessibility Statement
AGL Access Works is committed to making this website accessible, readable and usable for disabled people, assistive technology users and people with different access preferences.
Prepared 10 May 2026 · Last reviewed 12 June 2026 · Designed with WCAG 2.2 Level AA in mind.
Website accessibility statement
The website has been designed to support people who may use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, switch access, reduced motion settings, high contrast settings or other access tools.
Scope of this statement
This statement applies to the AGL Access Works website at aglaccessworks.co.uk. It covers the main public pages of the website, including information pages, service pages and enquiry routes.
Accessibility standard
This website has been designed with WCAG 2.2 Level AA in mind.
It has not yet had a full independent WCAG audit, so this statement should not be read as a formal claim of full WCAG 2.2 AA compliance. The aim is to make the site as accessible and usable as possible, and to improve it when issues are found.
What this website supports
The site includes practical features intended to improve reading, navigation and comfort.
- Skip links to move directly to main content
- Keyboard access for links, buttons, menus and forms
- Visible focus indicators
- Support for system reduced motion preferences, plus an on-site reduced motion option
- Text size controls
- Font controls, including a dyslexia-friendly option
- Light, dark and black-and-white display modes
- Optional line spacing and underlined-link settings
- A screen ruler and reading spotlight
- Warm, cool, green and rose colour overlays
- A keyboard-operable preferences panel with contained focus
- Clear headings and page structure
- Body text of at least 18px with generous line spacing
- Touch targets of at least 44px on interactive controls
Accessibility preferences are available from the round button in the bottom corner of every page. Choices are saved on your device.
Assistive technology support
The website is intended to work with common assistive technologies and access methods, including:
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Screen readers
- Browser zoom
- Screen magnification
- Speech recognition software
- Mobile accessibility settings
- Reduced motion settings
- High contrast or custom display settings
Because assistive technology combinations vary, some issues may only appear with particular browsers, devices or access setups.
Known limitations
The website has not yet had a full independent accessibility audit. AGL Access Works is not currently aware of any major accessibility barrier that prevents access to the main website content. However, there may still be issues that have not yet been found.
- Accessibility preference tools depend on JavaScript. If JavaScript is unavailable, core content and navigation remain available, but enhanced display preferences may not work.
- The site loads the Atkinson Hyperlegible typeface from an external font service. If it fails to load, the site falls back to system fonts.
- Third-party services, such as form handling or email systems, may not always behave in exactly the same way as the main website.
- Older browsers or unusual assistive technology combinations may show issues not yet identified.
Forms and enquiries
The enquiry form is designed to be usable by keyboard and assistive technology. All fields have visible labels, errors are described in text and focus is moved to the first problem field.
If the form is difficult to use, send an enquiry using the form and explain what alternative contact route would work best. You do not need to use the website form if another contact method is easier for you.
Reporting an accessibility problem
If you find something difficult to use, please use the contact form and describe the access issue. Please include, if you are comfortable sharing it:
- The page you were using
- What happened
- What you expected to happen
- The device or browser you were using
- Any assistive technology or access settings involved
You do not need to share medical or disability information unless you choose to.
Response to accessibility reports
AGL Access Works will review accessibility reports and aim to reply with a clear next step within two working days. Where possible, issues will be fixed directly. If a fix is not immediate, AGL Access Works will explain what can be done and whether an alternative route is available.
Ongoing improvement
Accessibility will be reviewed as the website develops. AGL Access Works aims to:
- Test new pages before publication
- Keep core content available without unnecessary barriers
- Avoid inaccessible third-party tools where possible
- Improve wording, structure and navigation over time
- Respond constructively to user feedback
